Police Officer

The Presque Isle Police Department has immediate openings for the position of full-time Patrol Officer.  The Presque Isle Police Department is seeking qualified, motivated, and community-oriented individuals for the position of Police Officer.

Police Chief

If you are a law enforcement executive who wants to be part of a highly motivated team of professionals making a tangible difference in peoples’ lives, then we are looking for you. This position is responsible for providing guidance and direction as part of the management team on all issues concerning the operation of the Police Department. Our management team believes in ethical, innovative leadership based heavily on teamwork and shared responsibility for the vitality of our community and its citizens. 

The department is widely recognized as one of the State’s very best.  Its excellence comes from a complement of 25 employees that operate from a central station.  The Chief develops the direction of the department and coordinates implementation with the command staff.

The desired candidate will have a proven track record in the field of Police Services Administration, with at least five years of service.  A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is desired. Demonstrated experience in community orientated policing is required.   Excellent communication and presentation skills are expected and experience in the areas of performance management and collaborations with area law enforcement agencies is preferred. Custodian

The City of Presque Isle has an immediate opening for one full-time Custodian at the Sargent Family Community Center. This position requires general knowledge of cleaning and the use of cleaning equipment and may require minor building maintenance.

Administrative Assistant
Sargent Family Community Center

The Sargent Family Community Center is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant to the Recreation Department.  This position is responsible for serving as a receptionist and clerical assistant to the Director of Recreation and Parks and the Programmer.  The position is also responsible for the performance of varied departmental bookkeeping, accounting and related processes. Previous experience with QuickBooks is desired.

Airport Line Service Technician

The Presque Isle International Airport is accepting applications for a full-time Line Service Technician.  Primary duties include the fueling, hangaring and deicing of aircraft. Work is performed with considerable independence and self-motivation.   The position offers a pay range from $20.95 to $26.12 per hour, comprehensive benefits package, wage step increases, employee and family medical health coverage, paid vacation and sick leave, 401(a) or a Maine Public Employee retirement plan.
